Re: Ostbahn
In Sosnowiec is got some questions about landscaping.
For the grassed area you need:
- grass flocks (i took Silhouette "Sommer", "Frühherbst", "Spätherbst")
- floral flocks (Silhouette)
- wood glue (Ponal)
- all-purpose glue water-soluble (Uhu Flinke Flasche, Tesa)
- Air-brush pistole
- electrostatic "Grassmaster"
First you put the background with wood glue und grass via "Grassmaster".
After that you mix water and Uhu Flinke Flasche that you can spray it with Air-brush pistole. Put a drop of washing-up liquid in the mixture.
Now you spray that mixture over first layer of grass. After that you take the "Grassmaster" and bring grass on it.
You can repeat it once or twice if you like the result.
For close you brush Uhu again. But be carefully. This kind of fixing isnt "bomb-proof".
If you want that your meadow wants bloom...
After spraying with Uhu you take a small colander with a little bit floral flocks in color if you want. Let fall the flocks into the "wet" grass. LESS is MORE!
Is it anhydrous you close it with a fixing with sprayed Uhu.
For the tracks you need:
- ballast (Auhagen)
- color "Spannfix" clear from Graupner ( it is a special paint to stretch paper for wings for model air-crafts)
- Acetone
Make a mixture from "Spannfix" and Acetone that it is pourable. But more paint than Acetone!
In the tracks you have ballast arranged. Now you put dropwise the mixture over the ballast. Be carefully! It is efficient and shall to flow in all interspaces. Open the Windows! It is very smelly from Acetone!
Good luck!![:)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Ostbahn
Now i will show the fittig of both bidges. Therfore I built abutments from plastic cards and stripes.
You can see it without and with weathering:

Next you can see the profile of the embankment and the countryside. It is made from polyurethane foam:

Re: Ostbahn
Ok....i will continue. But today without countryside.
The 2nd segment should be show the route on an embankment with a small typical Prussian brigde and a house of railwayman. For that i took the "Lokleitung" from Auhagen. But later more.
First i made the modules....
The raw bodies:
![Obrazek](http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/3236/modul24.th.jpg)
...and the Prussian brigde made by Grischan. You can buy this via www.digitalzentrale.de. You can find this type in Poland also. The 3rd photo i took in Chojnice:

Re: Ostbahn
On the 3rd modul from my 1st segment you can see the barrier with a W50 and a cow paddock.
The W50 is a mixed car with parts from modeltec, hädl and tt & more.
To open this barrier the driver has to call. Normally this kind of barriers are closed.

Appearance of the lake
I read in a magazine about landscaping. Inside of it there was a nice tutorial to built a lake.
For the water you need a thin acryl glass disc and window colour in different color tints (green, blue, brown and clear).
After creation of ground of the lake and positioning of acryl glass you bring dilute mixed window color on the acryl glass. This is the color of the water. You take green, blue and brown. If color was dried i put reed around the waterside.
Now should become some small waves. The water of a lake isnt flat. For the waves you take undilute clear window color and disperse it. With the brush you built some waves...small waves....this is a lake not an ocean.
In the wet colour i fixed water lilies.
Reed and water lilies made from http://www.ndetail.de/modellbahn/
On the left side you have a beach. There is a young familiy with their new Trabant. The car is finished with some etched mirrors, lamps, wipers and a roof rack.
On the right side you have an old fishing man on a small runway.

Re: Ostbahn
This segment shows a free interpretaion of the turn nearly Obersdorf.
This part is very famous under photographers. You can look at the trains from a hill.
http://www.lokmotivarchiv.de/Archiv/624680.htm
But it is a free interpretation. You cant find there the lake and the barrier.
I was often of this hill and wanted to built a "memoral" for it.
The awry telegraph pole from the 3rd pic was situated nearly Herrensee.
