M62-1060 (Russian type)

This is a one of the early locomotives of M62 (M62-1060 made in 1970) made for USSR internal use (the number of the M62`s made for internal use began with the No 1003 and 1970 year). It differs from the export version by the different design of the ventilator jalousies on the roof. By the absence of the puffers. Has another type of the coupling (Russian standard SA-3). Has another type of exhaust system on the roof. Has only 2 brake cylinders on the each carriage (export versions has 4). And also has a protective panels on the board jalousies which are in closed position in a cold whinter (now are opened).

Also I must note the untipical paintscheme for internal locomotives (90% are green).
The pictures was made in April 2007 in depo Chisinau (Moldova). 1524 mm gauge.
